The University of Ulster’s vision is to be the leading university for sport in Ireland. To help deliver that vision for student sport the Sports Union at the University of Ulster is the body for the organisation of student sport at the University.
The Sports Union aims to cater for all levels of participation – we aim to challenge you regardless of whether you are a complete beginner or an elite performer.
With Sports Union membership you can:
- Join one of our many different clubs ranging from Aikido to Volleyball and lots more!
- Have the opportunity to access training courses for sports, administration and management.
- Get FREE use of facilities for Club training
- Receive additional money off student rates at the UU Clinic (on presentation of Sports Union Card)
- Get benefit from Personal Accident Insurance Cover in your chosen sport
- Have your views represented regarding sport.
- Have the opportunity to represent the University of Ulster in your sport, and to gain representative honours for the Irish and/or British University teams.
- Have the opportunity to join Site Committees and have your say on what goes on.
- Have the opportunity to be considered for inclusion in high profile sporting and social events throughout the year including the Colours Award Ceremony.
The Sports Union at the University of Ulster provides a recognisable means of communication between you and the sporting authorities To join the Sports Union you simply have to come along to any Sports Centre on campus to become a member of the many clubs that your campus has to offer.
