
The University of Ulster’s vision is to be the leading university for sport in Ireland.
The School of Sports Studies came into existence in August 2006 and is the academic division of the Ulster Sports Academy. The School is located in Jordanstown in Block 15, within the Faculty of Life and Health Sciences. The School currently consists of 21 academic staff supported by technical and administrative staff.
We have over 420 students studying for foundation, undergraduate and taught postgraduate degrees or enrolled on postgraduate research programmes. Our aim is to be the leading institution in Ireland for the study of Sport and Exercise and to use our knowledge and expertise for the benefit of the local, national and international community.
