Most people are aware that a healthy balanced diet is essential for optimum health and wellbeing. For people involved in sport at an amateur, professional or elite level, the importance of good nutrition is even more important. To maximise training and performance it is vital that both athletes and coaches have an understanding of the optimum diet for sport; but more importantly how to turn theory into practice, remembering that eating for sport should still be an enjoyable experience.
Our nutritional support service can offer tailored packages on an individual or team basis fulfilling all your sports nutrition requirements, helping improve your performance to produce winning results.
Sports Nutrition Workshops for Athletes, Coaches and Parents
These workshops can be tailored for athletes of any age group and sport depending on the issues raised by athletes/coaches. We aim to provide a team approach to sports nutrition guiding athletes, coaches and parents through the process of changing the diet for sport. Our nutrition sessions are particularly beneficial for coaches, providing them with the most up to date information in sports nutrition. This allows them to continue to educate their athletes ensuring that good nutritional practices are incorporated into training sessions and subsequent competitions.
Dietary Analysis
Following a consultation with our nutritionist, dietary information will be obtained from athletes for analysis purposes. All dietary intake is analysed using the latest nutritional software packages. The main aim of dietary analysis is to determine whether athletes are achieving the nutrient requirements for their sport, and whether modifications can be made to an athlete’s diet to positively benefit performance.
Individual Consultations
These are designed to provide athletes with the opportunity to tackle specific sports nutrition issues with our nutrition expert. This encompasses a wide range of common issues including weight loss for the needs of your sport, achieving the correct diet for sport whilst travelling and competing, as well as minor modifications to the diet to help boost performance.
