Places on the Camps are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Golf Challenge 2013

Sports Services is pleased to announce that this year’s University of Ulster Golf Challenge will take place on Friday 28 June at the Hilton Templepatrick Hotel & Country Club. It promises to be a great day offering participants the opportunity to network and socialise with friends over a round of golf on an excellent course, whilst also generating funds to help develop our future sporting champions at the same time. Funds from the event will help us to provide top quality support services to our high performance student athletes during their time at Ulster.

The University of Ulster Golf Challenge offers great value for money with a wide range of prizes on offer for the individual, team and challenge winners on the day. Prizes include accommodation breaks at the Hilton Hotel, rounds of golf at some excellent courses and tickets to top class sporting events.

We encourage participation from the wider sporting community in this event and your support is greatly appreciated. Please see the flyer below for more information. To book your tee time or to receive further event information please email Alison Moffitt, Sports Development Officer, a.moffitt@ulster.ac.uk.

Ulster Elks Conditioning Programme

Performance Services at the University of Ulster has launched a new Ulster Elks Conditioning Programme for young performers in Hockey and Rugby. The expertise of the Performance Services team and the facilities at the Jordanstown campus have been packaged into a summer Programme that can help take your sporting performance to new heights. The Programme will run over four weeks with three sessions per week, each lasting seventy five minutes. Participants will be fitness tested at the start and end of the Programme and will receive a summary of results highlighting the improvements which have been made in their strength, flexibility, speed, power and agility.

Conditioning activities will vary from session to session but aim to develop the important qualities of fitness specific to Hockey and Rugby. Sessions will focus upon laying solid foundations for long term athletic development by improving movement competence to reduce the chances of injury in addition to improving speed, agility, strength and flexibility.
